Rare Earth Single/Humbucking		Rare Earth Blend

The Rare Earth Humbucking is an active pickup which translates the sound of any steel-string flattop guitar with incredible accuracy. For musicians who need the flexibility of a removable pickup, the padded clamp installs securely in minutes with an absolute minimum effect on the instrumentęs acoustic performance - and never gets in the way of your picking style. The secret of its tone and sensitivity is the rare earth element neodymium which forms the magnets responsible for this pickupęs superb string balance. The integral pickup/preamp is cased in epoxy for strength and reliability, and its low-current design allows 300 hours or more of playing time on a single battery. The humbucking model is equipped with a brilliance control switch and features stacked coil construction for artists who insist on studio-quiet transparent reproduction. In the up position, the switch gently boosts frequencies in the 2-20kHz range for strumming and flatpicking.

The Humbucking/Microphone Blend model combines a humbucking pickup with a hypercardioid microphone, delivering acoustic tone with the power and projection appropriate for modern high-volume performance settings. Pickup and microphone signals can be blended with a small rotary control underneath the pickup.
