The Neo-D is a fantastic way to get Fishman's Rare Earth pickup technology for only $50. It's a passive pickup, and can't easily be wired internally, so it will probably never be confused for a super high-end pickup. But if you need to amplify a guitar without drilling any holes in it, or if you need to easily switch your pickup between multiple guitars, or if you just want to be able to plug directly into an amp, this is likely the ideal pickup for you. It comes with its own integrated 10' guitar cord (terminating in a 1/4" plug), and is easily secured to and removed from the inside of your soundhole.
