The Acoustic Matrix Natural I captures the natural, warm acoustic voice. It combines the Acoustic Matrix pickup with a miniature pre-amp internally mounted on the end of the output jack. The pickup material is a highly sensitive copolymer specifically formulated for guitars. The short distance from the under-the-saddle pickup to its internally mounted preamp maintains the integrity of the information-loaded pickup signal. A state-of-the-art surface-mount pre-amp provides tone shaping and low-impedance matching for the pickup which means the guitar can be plugged directly into amps, mixing boards, and P.A. systems.

The Acoustic Matrix II is similar to the Natural system but is voiced to emphasize the brighter, punchier elements of the acoustic tone allowing a better voice for playing within a band. It is also useful in large dreadnought-sized guitars where boominess may be an issue.
